Definitions

In the more detailed description of privacy practices below, the term "you," refers to registered pledgers and general visitors to the web site. The term "personal information," refers to a pledger's first and last name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. The term “third party beneficiary” refers to the organization chosen by the pledger as the receiver of their contributions. The word “fundraiser,” refers to Itching to Scratch: Score a Cure for Epilepsy.

Information Collected

If you choose to pledge online, you will need to provide your personal information. All personal information you submit to Itching to Scratch will only be used by me (Sean Cody) and the third-party beneficiary you have chosen to support. Personal information will only be used for the purpose of this fundraiser.

Information Sharing

As detailed above, Itching to Scratch will not give your personal information to third parties not associated with the fundraiser. Our third-party beneficiary organizations are the Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida and the British Columbia Epilepsy Society. Only the Foundation or Society chosen to pledge to will contact you, personal information will not be shared among the third party beneficiaries.

The only personal information to be shared publicly will be 1) a pledger’s first and last name as well as their location (city, state/province and country) and will only be used in a list of participants on the “Donors” page of the website; and 2) a person’s first and last name who has been recognized on the “Special Thanks” page for being an integral part of bringing Itching to Scratch to fruition.

Financial Contributions

No credit card information or other form of payment will be collected through this website. All requests for donation will be made upon completion of theItching to Scratch fundraiser in March, 2010. Each third party beneficiary will contact their own pledge group and will provide the results of the fundraiser and a request for each pledged contribution based on those results. Payment options may differ among the three third party beneficiaries but none are not permitted to retain, store or use personally identifiable donor information except for donation processing.
